This educational section was originally written and published by its author Alan L.Putland and has been displayed on its own website for over twenty-five years. Over the years it has been not only popular with students researching the Battle of Britain, but was also very popular with officers of the United States military as well as the Royal Air Force as a source of information for upcoming lectures that they had to teach. Fifteen years ago the Battle of Britain website amalgamated with the Battle of Britain Historical Society and now incorporates the official website of the Society and this Battle of Britain - 1940 website is now the educational section.
